In His Shadow
The Loop is the term for the area circumscribed by the elevated train lines in downtown Chicago. It includes a park, part of the waterfront, much of the Magnificent Mile, many museums, part of DePaul University’s campus, restaurants and clubs.
Under the Sabbat’s control, the Loop has been a quiet battleground between the Sword of Caine and the Giovanni. There is a great deal of money flowing through this area, even given Chicago’s decayed reputation, and still plenty of tourism. The Loop is considered to be safer than the rest of the city – in part because it is more profitable for all concerned that way, and in part because whoever is seeking to control the police force works hard to keep it that way.
